Erika Man is a documentary photographer, focusing on portraiture and the narrative behind an image, she investigates the relationship of the people and their identity, through the culture and place they inhabit.
Driven by research-led, self-initiated projects, her practice often explores a community and reflecting upon the identity they share. By observing social aspects of different cultures, she is fascinated how customs can affect a persona and additionally by examining others, it has helped in a personal exploration, a reflection upon her own environment and self within it.
